Intended Use & Instructions
Intended use of this colorant is for limited-exposure diagnostic swallow studies only (Bedside Swallow Evaluations on tracheotomized patients, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing, post-laryngectomy studies by Speech Pathologists and ENTs). Not intended for use in high-exposure enteral tube feeds.
Instructions:
- Gently twist and remove tab.
- Place a few drops at a time into the bolus until the desired color or hue is achieved via conventional mixing (stirring or shaking)
- For dark, navy blue color, add to foods and liquids with a more neutral pH (water, dairy products, cookies, crackers, etc.)
- Store in a cool, dark place, out of direct heat & light; can be refrigerated
